The Braves open the season against Vineland with new offensive starters Dougie Brown as Quarterback, who threw for 140 yards and ran for one touchdown. Chris Foreman as tailback who rushed for 101 yards and had two touchdowns. The defense also had a big game holding Vineland to only 7 points which lead to a 28-7 victory.
The Braves face off against the Red Devils for the second game of the season. The defense had a strong game preventing any scoring from RV. Brandon Perkins had a sack, 2 tackles for a loss, and a blocked punt. Joe Racobaldo had 9 tackles and a sack. The offense also had a great game with Chris Foreman scoring 3 touchdowns, which lead to a 40-0 victory.
The Braves went on the road for the first time this season against Millville. The offense had another fantastic game with Mekhi Gamble finishing with 111 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns from Dougie Brown. Chris Foreman ran for 64 yards and scored 1 touchdown. Likewise the defense had another incredible game with their second shut out in a row. Brody Colbert had a big game with a 72 yard punt return scoring a touchdown, running for another touchdown, and intercepting the ball. The Braves win 37-0!
The Braves played a tremendous game against a very tough opponent this week. The first half of the game the offense had trouble scoring while the defense held strong and was able to hold Lenape to only 13 points. Down 13-0 the offense came back hard with Dougie Brown, who threw 13 of 15 passes for 230 yards, had 3 touchdown passes, and one running touchdown. Jon Wood had 5 receptions for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns. Mekhi Gamble had 3 receptions for 66 yards, and with 19 seconds left caught a 27 yard pass from Dougie Brown to win the game. A well fought game all around with the Braves winning 28-21.
The Braves continue their undefeated streak by defeating Atlantic City 41-0. Dougie Brown threw 3 touchdowns, two were caught by Quinn Hart, and one by Jon Wood. Brody Colbert, Christian Forman, and Xavier Alexander all scored rushing towchdowns. Defense continues to play dominate with a complete shut out.
The Braves resume their winning streak against the Cherokee Chiefs. The offesne continues to make big plays with Dougie Brown running for a touchdown, and throwing 2 touchdown passes to Brody Colbert. Chris Foreman also had 73 yards rushing. The defense remains dominate only allowing 7 points. The Braves win 24-7.
The Braves return home to face off against their old rival Township. Dougie Brown threw for 2 touchdown passes to Jon Wood, and the other to Donovan Ezeiruaku. Turner Inge ran for 2 touchdowns, and Chris Foreman also ran for a single touchdown. The defense held strong leading to their fourth shut out this year with the Braves winning 33-0.
The Braves took on a tough Shawnee team with Dougie Brown scoring a 9 yard touchdown run right before halftime. Brendan Amico kicked a 23 yard field goal, and Chris Foreman scored a touchdown on a 66 yard run. The defense continues to play tough with Donovan Ezeiruaku leading the way to another shut out win with a score of 17-0.
The Braves played a tough St. Augustine this past week with the offense struggling to score points. Dougie Brown had one rushing touchdown. The defense put up a good fight but in the end the team fell short this week losing 21-7.
The Braves played their first playoff game against the Red Devils this past week. The offense had a great game with Quinn Hart catching two touchdown passes and scoring a third on a fake punt. Chis Foreman, Dougie Brown, and Lorenzo Heines all scored rushing touchdowns. The defense was dominant only giving up 3 points the entire game. The Braves win 42-3 and continue to the second round.
The Braves played a tough first half against the Fighting Clan going into halftime at a tied 7-7 game. Williamstown came out with a bang when Quinn Hart returned the second half kick off for a 87 yard touchdown. Turner Inge scored 3 touchdowns and Lorenzo Heines also scored a touchdown along with 81 rushing yards and 12 carries. The defense continues to impress by holding the Fighting Clan to 2 touchdowns. The Braves win 34-14 and are headed to the Sectional Championship.
The Braves faced off against the Lenape Indians in hopes of winning back to back championships. In the first half the defense was able to hold Lenape to 10 points but the offense was unable to capitalize. In the second half the Braves drove the ball down the field with Dougie Brown passing the ball to Jon Wood to score a touchdown making it 10-7. The stakes were on the line with 42 seconds left the Braves were able to score with Turner Inge running in for a touchdown. The defense was able to completely shutdown the Lenape offense in the second half and the Braves pulled off a win with a score 14-10.
In the final game of the season the Braves took on the Cherokee Chiefs, playing a tremendous game, and becoming number one in South Jersey. The offense scored 30 points with Dougie Brown rushing 77 yards and scoring 1 touchdown. Turner Inge rushed for 141 yards and scored 2 touchdowns and Brody Colbert also scored a touchdown, along with a 30 yard field goal from Brendan Amico. The defense held strong holding the Chiefs to only 112 yards and only 14 points. The Braves win 30-14.
